For Lisa and Levi

Friends and Family,

It is with a heavy heart that we learn about the unexpected passing of Mark Marshall at the age of 66. Mark was the stepfather of my best friend, Shawn Lindell, and his brother Shane Lindell. He tragically passed away from what is believed to be a heart attack on June 22nd. Mark leaves behind his wife, Lisa (Shawn and Shane’s mother) and their 11-year-old adopted son, Levi.

Mark was a dedicated and hardworking man. When Lisa became unable to work due to her health after suffering a stroke and surviving two brain aneurysms. Mark stepped up without hesitation—and began working the overnight shift driving trucks to earn more money to support their family. His loss has not only left an emotional void but a significant financial one as well.

In the coming weeks, Lisa will be faced with the heartbreaking task of laying her husband to rest. After that, even greater challenges lie ahead. She’ll have to navigate the overwhelming process of settling Mark’s affairs while remaining strong for Levi. And depending on the circumstances in the coming months, may be confronted with the reality of having to sell their home in Cranston—all while grieving.

To help ease some of this burden, I’ve started this GoFundMe for Lisa. Shawn, who has always been the first to offer help and the last to ask for it, is in a place where his family could use some support. Any contribution—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference and will be deeply appreciated by Lisa, Shawn, Shane, and their family.
