Our $10,000 billboard campaign is in the final design phase. Some of you helped select the best images and there's not a bad one in the bunch!
Now we need to raise money to get out the message loud and clear!!
We started with $2,500 in the kitty and one charter member just sent a $1,000 check, so we're well on the way to 10k! If we can do better than that, great. The billboards and accompanying social media ads will run from the beginning of July through Labor Day, a period that includes the Solheim Cup women's golf tournament estimated to bring over 100,000 fans and reporters to Toledo from around the world...and during the run-up to Toledo City Council elections. We will be asking them to pass a resolution supporting a ban on factory "farms."
Asking you to participate and get a friend to do the same does not feel like an imposition to me because I know you care about the fate of Lake Erie and care about the animals confined to the hellholes of factory "farms." We can support our lake -- writ LARGE -- and for once give the animals a voice and a face the public will never see otherwise.
Attached are the final roughs sent to the designer. One or two images may change as good ones are coming in daily. Show them to people when you ask for their support.
