Nothing in life could have prepared me to write these words, asking our community to come together in prayer and support for my best friend, Kinsey. To know her is to love her. She is kind, selfless, and shows up for everyone around her without hesitation.

Last night, her world was shattered by an unthinkable loss. Her mother, who she deeply loved, was killed in a way no one can prepare for, leaving behind grief that is sudden, overwhelming, and impossible to put into words.

Kinsey’s mom, Marcia, was an angel on earth. She was a second mama to me, and there was nothing she loved more than her family, especially her sweet grandchildren.

In the midst of shock and heartbreak, Kinsey is now also raising Hayes, who just turned one, without the support she should have had, while carrying a weight no one should have to bear. She is facing not only the emotional devastation, but the financial burden that follows such a tragedy. These funds will help ease that burden, giving her the space to grieve, to honor the life of her mother, and to begin navigating the difficult days ahead with a little more support around her.
