On February 13, my brother was involved in a tragic electric bike accident that took his life and left his partner seriously injured. He was a joyful, loving person who brought light and laughter to everyone around him. He had so many dreams and plans for the future, especially with his partner, whom he loved deeply. Our family is heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we are asking for your support and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Kenny was a very cheerful, playful, fun-loving, vibrant, and kind young man. He always had a smile for others and made everyone around him laugh. He was a hardworking, loving young man full of dreams. He was always willing to help others and was beloved by his family, friends, and everyone who had the opportunity to know him. He had two younger sisters whom he loved deeply and helped in any way he could. For us, he wasn't just our brother; he was also our support, our protector, and a fundamental part of our lives.

Kenny and his girlfriend had many dreams together. They planned to get married, start a family, and have children. They were always together, supporting each other in everything, building their future with love, effort, and hope.

That day, like many others, they went to work with the intention of getting ahead and building a better future. Sadly, we lost our brother in the accident. His passing has left an immense void in our lives and a pain that is difficult to describe.

His girlfriend survived the accident but is hospitalized in serious condition. She suffered fractures to her pelvis, coccyx, and spine, and still needs to undergo more surgeries. After her surgeries, she will face a long recovery process that will include physical therapy and extensive medical care, as well as a long period of rehabilitation before she can walk again and resume her life, all while enduring the pain of not having the person she loved most, the love of her life, by her side. This process will be physically, emotionally, and financially very difficult for her and for all of us. My mother is also in delicate health due to the shock of the news, as she feels like she's dreaming and can't accept that her baby is no longer with her. It feels like only yesterday she hugged him, kissed him, and spoke to him.

With broken hearts, we ask God and all kind-hearted people to pray for Kenny, for his soul, and also for his girlfriend, who continues to fight for her life in the hospital. Your prayers mean so much to us during this incredibly difficult time.

We are creating this campaign to cover funeral expenses, as we do not have the resources to give him a proper burial and to support our family during this painful time, as well as to help with the medical expenses related to this tragedy. El 13 de febrero, alrededor de las 2:06 p.m., la vida de mi familia cambio para siempre. Mi hermanito, Kenny Jimenez Rivera, de tan solo 26 años, sufrio un tragico accidente en la cuadra 4100 de Kansas Avenue NW, al noreste de Washington, D.C., mientras trabajaba junto a su novia. Ellos se transportanban en una bicicleta electrica cuando fueron impactado por un camion de basura, dejandolos gravemente heridos.

Kenny era un chico muy alegre, jugueton, divertido, lleno de vida y muy amable. Siempre tenia una sonrisa para los demas y hacia reir a todos los que lo rodean. Era un joven trabajador, amoroso y lleno de sueños. Siempre estaba dispuesto ayudar a los demas y era una persona muy querida por su familia, amigos y todos los que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerlo. Tenia dos hermanas menores a quienes amaba profundamente y ayudaba en todo lo que podia. Para nosotras, el no solo era nuestro hermano, tambien era nuestro apoyo, nuestro protector y una parte fundamental de nuestra vidas.

Kenny y su novia tenian muchos sueños juntos. Tenian planes de casarse, formar una familia y tener hijos. Siempre estaban juntos, apoyandose mutuamente en todo momento, contruyendo su futuro con amor, esfuerzo y esperanza.

Ese dia, como muchos otros , salieron a trabajar con la intecion de salir adelante y construir un mejor futuro. Lamentablemente, perdimos a nuestro hermano a causa del accidente. Su partida ha dejado un vacio inmenso en nuestras vidas y un dolor que es dificil de describir.

Su novia sobrevivio al accidente, pero se encuentra hospitalizada en estado grave. Ella sufrio fracturas en la pelvis, coxis y en la columna, y aun necesita someterse a mas cirugias. Despues de sus operaciones, enfrentara un largo proceso de recuperacion que incluira fisioterapia y muchos cuidados medicos en ellos cirugias y una larga recuperacion para que pueda volver a caminar y volver a tener una vida, aparte de todo el dolor no tener a la persona que mas amó y al amor de su vida a su lado. Este proceso sera fisico, emocional y economicamente muy dificil para ella y para todos nosotros. Mi madre se encuentra tambien delicada de salud debido a la impreción de la noticia, ya que siente que es un sueño y no puede asimilar que su bebe ya no esta a su lado, siente que fue ayer cuando lo abrazo, besó y hablo con el.

Con el corazon deztrozado, le pedimos a Dios y a todas las personas de buen corazon que recen mucho por kenny, por su alma, y tambien por su novia, que continua luchando por su vida en el hospital. Sus oraciones significan muchisimo para nosotros en este momento tan dificil.

Estamos creando esta campaña para poder cubrir los gastos funerarios ya que no tenemos los recursos para poder darle cristiana sepultura y apoyar a nuestra familia durante este proceso tan doloroso y ayudar con los gastos medicos relacionados con esta tragedia.
