We are putting this fundraiser together on behalf of Josie Elgin.
Josie is a cherished 16-year-old girl born and raised in the mountains of Montana. She is sweet and kind to everyone soul she meets. Josie has been a part of many local rodeos, events, and more. Her passions have always included her horses and being with those she loves. Josie is a high-spirited and captivating individual with many friends and family who support her in her endeavors.
Unfortunately, on Sunday night of 02/27/2022 our Josie was in a car accident. She and another family member hit a patch of black ice on the way home. The vehicle lost control and hit a tree, ejecting Josie out of the window. She is in a current induced coma with a grade 3 diffuse axonal injury. These are the most severe gradients of a traumatic brain injury. As she lies unresponsive in her hospital bed, her next step is to be slowly awakened from her induced coma to run more tests in the next couple of days.
Due to the severity of her injury, it is unknown how long her recovery process will take. She has two amazing parents sitting at her bedside every step of the way, along with her siblings doing everything in their power to show their support. This has taken a significant hit on the entire family.
Her exemplary father is a role model and leader for our whole family and is always doing everything in his power to help those around him. At this point, we are asking for your support on his behalf and Josie Elgins.
