For Joshua Hitto, Gone Too Soon
Donation protected
Dear Loved Ones & Friends,

Our hearts are hurting today and have been breaking bit by bit since early Saturday morning, August 26, 2023.
Breaking and breaking.
Writing this gofundme page makes it that much harder, even much more real.
On Saturday morning, our cousins Joshua & Anjenny Hitto and their good friend Ruby Roy and her little girl Caloni were involved in a devastating car accident. While driving back from a visit to Yosemite National Park, Joshua, Anjenny, Ruby and Caloni were T-boned by another car in Atwater. The driver of the other car ran a red light and was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The accident took the lives of our cousin Joshua, just 26-years-old and baby girl Caloni, just 8-years-old.
This is heartbreakingly unexpected and feels so completely unfair and surreal.
As we attempt to grapple with the sudden loss of our cousin Joshua and Ruby’s daughter Caloni, we are so incredibly grateful that Anjenny and Ruby survived the terrible crash. These two are warriors and have such incredible hearts of compassion for everyone involved in the accident. Their survival is the life-giving blessing of this horrible incident. And while this is a blessing, they both were severely injured and needed to be flown to Trauma Care. Our cousin Anjenny has been hospitalized since Saturday morning and is being treated for internal bleeding in three areas, broken ribs, and a lacerated liver.
Anjenny and Ruby, not only have to face the excruciating grief that comes with this kind of loss, but also navigate and make decisions on their recovery and healing journey, decide within in a matter of days how to lay to rest Joshua and Caloni, and figure out finances and income pertaining to housing and employment while giving their bodies time to heal. This is a lot. And they can’t do this alone.
With this in mind, we are asking our loved ones, friends, community and those who are able to contribute to our gofundme page. Please help us, to better help and support our cousin Anjenny during this process of healing and recovery, pay for medical expenses and be able to make necessary funeral arrangements for our cousin Joshua.
Any little bit would mean so much to our cousin Anjenny, our family and our circle of support.
We are sending deep gratitude to all of Anjenny and Joshua’s friends and coworkers for reaching out and sharing messages of support and comfort. Please keep us lifted in prayer, in healing, in recovery, and in positivity. Your well wishes, words of support and contributions would mean so much and we are in deep gratitude for your kindness and care.
We are sending love, healing and support to Ruby and her family. If you are able, please support Ruby’s family and contribute to their gofundme page as well.
