In honour of Josh Widdup: supporting Bipolar
Donation protected
Josh Widdup (30/10/1987 – 26/02/2020)
It is with great sadness that the Widdup family announce the passing of my son Josh, who lost a long battle with mental illness.
Josh's funeral was held on Friday 6th March, and we celebrated his life in the manner he would have wished, as he was a 'private man'.
Losing Josh has devastated our family and changed our lives forever. We cannot bring Josh back, but we would like to contribute to helping others going through their own mental health battles, in particular people living with Bipolar.
In Josh’s honour and hearing him, I have, with the support of Margôt and Lyn, decided to invest in funding research into an alternative or modifying existing medication for people with Bipolar. In Josh’s name, my aim is to find a more palatable drug, with few side effects, a better means of administration and which is kinder to the brain and body.
Over the coming months, we will have a clearer idea and purpose for these funds, however we are extremely motivated to ensure funds are spent in a way which would be been beneficial to people living with Bipolar, current and future. We envision Josh’s wish would be simply to help others!
In light of this I would invite you to donate via this GoFundMe page or by direct deposit.
