I have known Jose for the past six years. He is a very dedicated and hardworking coworker who has never called out sick. He has been a very kind and true friend - always putting other people's need first. He spent several years volunteering at the American Red Cross in DC. In recognition of his dedicated service, he received a Silver Congressional Award.
On December 27, 2020, Jose was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer called “Glioblastoma” (the most aggressive type of cancer that begins in the brain) and has left his friends, coworkers and family devastated with the sudden news.
Jose was the breadwinner in a family of four but can no longer return to work. However, he has accumulated a lot of medical bills and will continue to accumulate additional medical expenses through Chemotherapy and rehab for many more months. For this reason, I have started this GoFundMe to help Jose's family raise money to cover his medical treatment.
His family will appreciate all the help they can get through this emotional distress and financial hardship.
