Our hearts are completely broken. On Monday, November 17th, our sweet Jolie Pesina Charles left for work like any normal day ,and she never made it home. She was in a terrible accident, and despite her iPhone sending out a crash alert, she was not found, not helped, not saved. Hours passed… and she was still out there alone.

It wasn’t first responders who found her.

It was us , her family, searching desperately, refusing to give up on her.

No family should ever have to live through what we lived through.

No mother should ever be left like that.

Jolie didn’t just leave behind memories…

She left behind her baby girl, Amari, who still reaches for her mommy.

A little girl who doesn’t understand why the person she loves most isn’t coming home.

A daughter who will grow up with a hole in her heart that can never be filled.

Jolie was only 21 years old, with so much life ahead of her, so many moments she was supposed to share with Amari. Birthdays, school events, holidays, late-night cuddles… all stolen from her. Stolen from us. Stolen from her daughter.

Our family is shattered in a way words can’t explain.

We are grieving the loss of Jolie, grieving what she suffered, and grieving the future she was supposed to have.

We are now trying to give Jolie the beautiful goodbye she deserves, something no family ever expects to plan for someone so young. The financial burden of her funeral and memorial is heavy, especially while we’re trying to hold each other together and comfort little Amari through a pain she’s too young to understand.

We are humbly, painfully asking for help.

Every donation will go toward Jolie’s funeral expenses and supporting Amari as she grows up without her mother’s arms around her.
