I created this fundraiser on behalf of my boyfriend John and his brother Nick, whose father passed away Monday morning from a series of heart attacks. I saw his parents regularly when they lived in NYC and they immediately made me feel at home. his father was a hard-working, funny, and warm person who reminded me of my own dad. after John's parents moved back to North Carolina a few months ago, his father seemed to be doing much better. receiving the news was, and still is, a shock.

John and Nick plan to fly to NC to be with their mom for a bit, despite having a lot on their plates. I thought it would at least lessen some of their stress if there were some way to cover their travel costs. plane tickets for this weekend are around $400 at the very least, so I've set a goal for $1k just in case they need some extra funds.
