For Janet - raising money for cancer research

My sister, Janet, passed away in March of this year.

Having been given the all-clear from breast cancer in 2021, the disease returned in late 2022. By the time it was detected it had spread to her vital organs and elsewhere. She fought hard. She always did. But, in the end, there was nothing any of us could do to save her.

To honour Janet's memory, to add to her already formidable legacy and to channel our collective and overwhelming grief towards something constructive, I've decided to raise money for cancer research. To do that, I'm running the New York Marathon on November 5th - and I’m seeking sponsorship / donations before I take my place on the start line.

Janet was spectacular. We loved - and love - her dearly. The degree to which we miss her is beyond the grasp of language. But there’s some comfort in knowing how proud and grateful she would be that something positive has come from her passing. Please give generously, and many, many thanks.
