On September 18, 2025, our beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, Jammie Johnston, passed away. Jammie was 49 years old. She loved life, but she was in great pain that we don’t quite understand, and probably never will, at the moment, when she took her own life. We believe it was a tragic mistake.

We feel empty, like she has taken our hearts out of our chests. We have a small family and we were all very close to her. We are shattered and grieving, and we want to honor wishes she had expressed before — cremation is not something any of us, nor she, wanted. She wanted to be buried next to her dad in the family plot.

We are asking for help to raise $20,000 to cover transportation (we need to move her 3½ hours to be laid to rest beside her father), the casket, the burial plot, and a headstone, as well as a small memorial so we can properly say goodbye and support traveling family members.

Jammie was a loving presence in all our lives. Laying her to rest beside her father is how our family can find a small measure of peace and keep her close to family history and memory. She was an amazing person who went above and beyond for the people she loved so hard.
