For Hope - Help evacuate Reem & Family out of Gaza

Hello there, this is Mohammed and I live in Berlin, Germany. I have known Reem for 3 years. I met Reem when I was looking for a designer to help me out with UX and product design for a startup I am working on.
Found Reem is extremely passionate about UX, Product Design, Technology as her profile on Linkedin would still shows. Her work on Dribble and on her profile on Upwork reflects her work ethics and diligence to help people in solving problems using technology and at the same time making a living for herself and her family.
And since the war in Gaza began on 7th Oct, she has been displaced on multiple occasions, lost her job, her home and is now in dire situation struggling to survive in the rubbles of the war.

But she still has hope, that her friends, acquaintance and colleagues who she has shared her work and life and more importantly kind people who still believe in humanity and in giving , sharing and caring fellow humans, would lend her a helping hand to evacuate her family from Gaza into the neighbouring Egypt. She has hope to start working again, reincarnate herself through hard work, and the skills she has invested her life in acquiring.

Let us help Reem realize her dream, let her make hope come true for a stable, safe and fair life that every human deserves at the very least.

Below are some thoughts from Reem herself -

My name is Reem, and I am 24 years old, an engineer, a daughter, and a sister. Before October 7th, life felt like a tapestry woven with threads of security and hope, surrounded by the warmth of my family: my 19-year-old younger brother, my parents, and our beloved cat, Dabool. My life was stable; I had a stable job, recently graduated, and was on the brink of pursuing my dreams abroad, along with many other goals like countless others around the world. However, in one day, but in the blink of an eye, everything crumbled before us. The nightmare of war awaited us, and as our displacement began, so did our suffering. Now, we desperately need your help to evacuate from Gaza.

The onslaught of war descended upon us, transforming our once vibrant existence into a nightmare of chaos and despair. We never imagined that our lives would become about survival, searching for daily sustenance, and seeking shelter to protect us from the winter cold. Our lives now revolve around questions like "Is there water today?" or "Do we have firewood to cook?"

The air, once filled with laughter and dreams, now carries the deafening roar of destruction and the piercing wails of ambulance sirens. Our neighborhood, where generations of memories were woven into its fabric, now lies in ruins. The streets we roamed as children, now strewn with rubble.

Leaving Gaza was a decision fraught with anguish. I once stood firm against the idea. But as the shadows of war lengthened, hope dimmed, and despair loomed large. We deserve to live in safety and peace, my family and I, not in fear and anticipation of whether we will survive tomorrow or not. Like civilians, we want to escape this danger and continue our lives and dreams.

Our dreams, once vibrant and full of promise, now lie shattered amidst the rubble of war. My brother Firas, graduated from school with outstanding grades and is considered one of the brightest minds. He aspires to become an architect engineer, but the war shattered his dreams of pursuing higher education abroad. In his words, "I always dreamed of becoming an architect and completing my studies abroad, but occupation and war had other plans. Now, I wake up early in the morning to fetch water for my family and light the fire to cook on. It's a life we are not accustomed to."

The “bribes” to official authorities to evacuate us from Gaza range from $5000 to $10,000 per person, which poses a significant obstacle amidst the economic crisis we are going through. Your support will cover the costs of crossing the Egyptian border, transportation, temporary shelter, and basic necessities for life. I urge you to support us so that we can escape death in Gaza and save ourselves.

This is how your donations will be spent:
Evacuation of my family and cross border: 30,000
Approx transaction fees: 5,000
Housing + Basic needs post evacuation: 15,000

Your support can make a tangible difference in our lives as we strive to navigate through the challenges of displacement and rebuild what war has taken from us. Your donation is a crucial lifeline that will help us secure safe passage and access to necessities as we embark on our journey to safety. We are deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide, and together, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and our community. Thank you for considering our plea for help.
