On September 26th 2021, Michael Steven Speaks III aka “Mike Mike” died unexpectedly after a tragic fall down a staircase. The fall caused him to sustain a fatal skull fracture. Our dear Mike lay there alone until he was discovered deceased the next day.

 

Mike was a 30 year old loving and devoted father and die hard Washington football fan. He was a loyal friend with a big personality, you could expect lots of jokes and a good time when he was around. He dedicated his life to his children and sacrificed to provide a loving home for them.

 

Mike was a protective big brother, oldest of many siblings. He was the first grandson on both sides of the family and was dotted on by his family. He was cherished by his family and colleagues. Everyone who knew him is devastated by his sudden and untimely death.

 

Mike recently transitioned into a new job and was not eligible for benefits nor did he have life insurance. He was a single, unmarried father of four young children.

 

This fundraiser is set up to help with his burial cost and to properly memorialize him. This will allow the family and more importantly his children to have closure during this incredibly sad and traumatic time. Any remaining funds will be placed into a trust fund for his children.
