Remembering Ge Moua & Supporting Pang Kou Her
Donation protected
On Sunday, November 28, we lost an incredible husband, father, brother, uncle, community leader and life-long educator - Ge Moua (Zeb Muas or Pos Muas). Please join us in remembering Pos’s memory and supporting his family through this difficult time.
Two weeks prior to his passing, on Sunday, November 15, his wife, Pang Kou Her had a major hemorrhagic stroke, with life-threatening bleeding in the brain. She has been in the ICU since then, undergoing neurosurgery and intensive care. While waiting at home for his wife to return, Pos passed away, leaving behind his wife and five children, Leng, Ka, Kady, Chayeng, and PhenZong.
While his children are planning his funeral and burial, they are also waiting for their mom to gain consciousness. As Pang Kou is fighting for her life in the ICU, she has no idea that her husband has passed away and will most likely miss the funeral. Their children are devastated about how to tell her once she wakes up and heartbroken that she is unable to say goodbye to her husband.
Pos Muas was a man of integrity who always stepped up to help others, no matter how little he had. He cared deeply about wanting to help the community progress forward and giving to those in need. He dedicated his whole life to being an educator and advocating for the importance of multi-language learning. He was committed to supporting students' success and helping families navigate the education system. Pos worked for the Saint Paul Public School District for over 20+ years.
When he wasn’t working, Pos used his wisdom and talents to help the Hmoob community and contributed greatly to advancing traditions to be more inclusive and progressive. He also loved to travel, be in nature, and show the world to his wife and children. He was an incredible husband who always took care of his wife. He was a wonderful father who always supported his children to achieve their dreams. Although he didn’t have much growing up, he always worked hard to give his family a joyful and fulfilling life. Pos impacted the lives of many during his lifetime and will be greatly missed.
The funeral date is December 20th from 8am - 10pm at St Paul Funeral Home.
All support during this time are appreciated. Donations will go toward traditional Hmong funeral costs (funeral home, burial plot, and headstone) for Pos and ongoing hospital bills for his wife. Thank you so much.
