Garfie is my diabetic 9 year old kitty I rescued 3 years ago but he’s much more than that. He’s my little baby, my companion, my stinky binky boy. Im having the hardest time controlling his diabetes, it rollercoasters from extremely high to really low. Sometimes its good but lately most times it keeps me up. Making sure it never gets too low means sleeping with corn syrup on my nightstand and waking up with the low sugar alarm ringing. It means $1k vet bills for dextrose, IV hydration, glucose monitoring, etc. Now I was told its best to take him to a diabetes specialist, which is so much more expensive but necessary. Just a consultation is $200 and thats not counting testing, etc they’re going to want to do. I could use a little bit of help, if you can. I’ve been maxing out my cards and not able to pay enough to get much more credit. Thank you for reading this far Garfield is my little baby and one way or another we’re gonna have to get through this.
