Hello, as you know, my dad passed unexpectedly, so with that comes a lot of unexpected expenses. He was disabled and lived on low income, so no savings, and I was his caregiver. I work full-time as a teacher's assistant. I don’t make much and also don’t have much savings. We always struggled but still managed to get by. But with his passing, it has brought on a lot of struggles. Social services have covered the majority of his services and cremation, but there are still a lot of expenses that are not covered. Although I have a lot of help, my future and ability to pay bills, continue living where I currently am, and take care of his and my animals is unknown.

As I am hearing from family members, he was very worried about what was going to happen to me if he passed. He knew there were going to be a lot of struggles ahead of me, but because he was such a strong man, he has made me strong as well. The fact that I have some amazing friends and family in my life has helped keep my head up and moving forward, even though it is very tough and it feels like I want to sink to the floor. When I am with them, I feel lighter. I hope with time and a little financial stability, I will feel even lighter. It is very difficult to ask for help, but here I am, so please, anything helps.
