Help Emmy’s Lymphoma Cancer Treatment and Healing

This fundraiser is for a close childhood friend of mine, Emmy, who is unfortunately having side effects after her lymphoma cancer treatment and requires funding to help her with her ongoing medical bills and to clear huge debts after paying for her chemotherapy. 

In 2019, a CT scan report showed multiple lymph nodes in her neck, chest, axilla area, abdomen, and groin area. A biopsy revealed she had Lymphoma Cancer. 

Whilst undergoing chemotherapy all alone and with no family support due to siblings living thousands of miles away, Emmy started experiencing severe reactions to her chemotherapy drugs after the second round of chemo began. Several times she was rushed to the hospital as she almost collapsed. The chemotherapy sessions ended after months of treatment, but the side effects of the drugs are still present till today.

Over the last 3 years, Emmy has faced newer symptoms that were not present prior to chemotherapy treatment. She has been experiencing extreme body pains in the bones and muscles and she has trouble standing up without assistance. In addition, she has neck, shoulders and arms spondylosis. She has fallen twice on cemented floors which has affected her left side of the body. At times her left side of the body goes numb. Most nights, she wakes up in severe pain. Her breathing gets so bad that she has to be rushed to the hospital to nebulize her. Bloated abdomen has pushed the diaphragm up and restricts her lungs so she starts wheezing and cannot breathe. Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Acid Reflux GERD and severe Sinusitis have all become the norm for her due to the side effects of the chemotherapy treatment.

Since March 2022, Emmy has been without any income. Despite many interviews, it appears that employers are unfortunately rejecting her due to her 50+ age, medical history and current medical conditions. 

Her credit cards and loans are accumulating interest and incurring penalty charges and so the debts are ever increasing. The daily calls from the banks and lending institutions demanding repayments are causing huge stress to her. 

Emmy’s much needed ongoing treatment has been discontinued due to no funds and her health is deteriorating. 

I humbly ask for your assistance and support. Every contribution will have a profound impact in supporting Emmy as she endeavours to heal and rebuild her life. She needs urgent treatment and her insurmountable debts are causing her daily anguish on top of her health issues.
