For Dunia's Bills
Donation protected
This week, our hearts were broken by the loss of mother, Tia, friend, and daughter Dunia Denise Grasso. She had a gorgeous soul. She welcomed people into her heart and home. She showed those of us who were blessed enough to be loved by her, what unconditional love is. What the purest version of love is.
Dunia suffered a stroke last week due to a punctured blood vessel in her brain. She was immediately brought to Centegra Hospital in Mchenry, IL. The issue was caused by high stress, and following the stroke she was in the ICU and had lost all feeling on the right side of her body. But Dunia was a badass warrior type of woman. So, in the days after the stroke, she was doing better each day, and showing the strength everyone admired about her. She was quickly gaining feeling in her body, and was transferred to a Centegra's rehab facility to begin therapy. However, just 9 days after the incident, sudden complications (a blood clot) caused her to stop breathing, and doctors were unable to revive her.
This loss would've been difficult nonetheless, but many of us are aware of the egregiously high cost of health care, and probably understand how many expenses are left in the wake of this tragedy. There are medical costs from her ambulance ride to the hospital, her five days in the hospital, and few days in the rehab facility doing physical therapy. There are also the costs of her cremation and memorial service. In order for her children, and the rest of her family to grieve this loss without additional burden, we ask that you give whatever you can to help pay these bills. We ask because we know she would do this for anyone she loved.
