Hi, my name is Courteney Roberts, and I'm starting a go fund me for my father, who was merely feet away from entering his app. complex when a driver under the influence of drugs and alcohol hit my father while in the crosswalk. The driver left my father lying facedown in the middle of a busy intersection. He did not stop or call for help. He is now fighting for his life. They have already had to amputate his leg from the knee down. My father did not care to have a car. He would ride his bike or walk to the two jobs he worked. My father's day would start at 3:30 am when he would leave the house to ride his bike to his 1st job. Then he would come home, drop off his bike and catch the bus to his next job, which he was coming home from when the unthinkable happened. The following day, it was then I realized something was wrong. My dad was not home. I did not stop calling him, then a lady answered his phone, and she said she was a nurse and that my father was In the ICU at Fresno Community. That was the moment my life has changed. I'm so scared. that he might not make it out of the coma. He has a bleed about 4cm big in the front of his brain, 6 broken ribs, and much more damage to his lungs and heart. Tho my dad is very strong-willed, I pray every day that he will wake up and say hi to me, and my family will need a new prosthetic leg when he wakes up and comes home. And the hospital bills are just adding up daily. So I ask anyone willing to help my family in this situation that you will forever be in my debt.
