For Don Swan: His Children & Service Expenses

Good Afternoon Friends and Family,

With an extremely heavy heart and tired eyes, I'm starting a fundraiser on the behalf of my siblings and I who need help with some finances through this extremely tough time, of losing our dad to Heart Failure the night of August 2nd, 2021....on my sister Brandy Swan's 25th birthday. Not only did she lose her father on her birthday, she provided transportation and shelter for us all, and has been going full throttle, driving MULTIPLE hours, and serving as 1 of the point of contacts, along side our brother Levi Swan (21), for the hospital and dad's medical needs. Levi and Brandy have been so strong and been fighting through the weeks to make sure dad had whatever he needed while he was still with us. All the kids have been so strong...he would be proud.

These funds will go directly towards Viewing/Service Costs, Covering Monthly Bills due to having to take so much time off work for this, and for whatever ever else us kids need for the service this Saturday, August 14th, 2021.

We didn't expect to be laying our dad to rest for a LONG time, he was only 45....but here we are. Brandy, Levi and I have had to take so much time off work to be with our dad and siblings throughout his last days at the hospital, and still have to cover our monthly bills, on top of anything the kids need, and all the travel expenses.

We've had a lot of people saying they wanted to help, so we figured this would be the perfect platform to provide for anybody who can help. Words cannot express how blessed we are to have the family, friends, and community we do. Thank you all for your kind words, and support through this tough time. We are forever grateful and will strive to keep our heads high and power through just like dad always did.

Not only was he an amazing father to all us 9 kids, he was also a huge part of our Makah History as a whaler and a Fish Fillet Master, one hell of a welder, machinist, mechanic, and last but not least, a LEGENDARY man, son, brother, father, husband and friend.
