For DJ's Recovery/Expenses

For those who do not know, our beloved brother DJ has been battling with Osteosarcoma since the age of 14. Within weeks of entering high school DJ noticed a small lump on his leg, which weeks later he would find his life would be changed forever. Over the years the cancer has risen from his leg into his jaw, causing discomfort, pain and sadness for our entire family. Still determined to have a normal life, DJ has traveled and worked up until he could no longer. Shortly after our father passed from cancer in 2014, the doctors found the had tumor returned in his jaw. DJ is now 25 years old and he's had chemotherapy, radiation and many surgeries, but nothing has truly helped and the cancer continues to come back. We are heartbroken that the doctors are now recommending hospice and saying that there is nothing they can do. It's been a long journey, but we're hopeful, faithful and we know the doctors or man does not have the final say. God does. We're believing God for a miracle, trusting His will, and His plan, but we also need the support from our family and friends. Words cannot completely express what all he's been through, but even in pain, DJ NEVER complains. He's the strongest person we know, but even the strongest soldiers sometimes need help getting up. DJ is a fighter and he is not giving up. He cannot speak and his vision is limited, and he's some nutrition from a Peg-tube. He's receiving care at Henry Ford Hospital, but DJ has expressed his desire to go elsewhere. We have spoken to several Naturopathic doctors that would like to work with DJ providing him with at-home treatments, and we've contacted cancer treatment facilities outside the US. DJ's former job Belle-Tire provided him with insurance, but that ended shortly after his most recent medical leave. With insurance through the state his options are very limited and because we are seeking holistic/alternative options treatments will not be covered. We have started a donation page to assist in covering DJ's expenses including his nutrition, medications, and treatments. If anyone has any resources and/or information for DJ to beat cancer once and for all please share. To all the families affected by this ugly toxin, we are fighting back with you.
