We are brokenhearted to share the news we don’t think we will ever be able to comprehend fully. Devin Kaleigh Gibbons, the beautiful and brave mommy to Naomi and Harrison, was taken from us at the young age of 28. There are so many questions. While we can't share much during the pending investigation, we can share that it wasn't an accident. Her life was stolen by someone who felt they had the right to make such a decision. Among the devastation, confusion, and rage, we realize the seemingly impossible wait is essential to bring her justice and get it right — something we are grateful to the law enforcement working day and night to find. We won’t rest, and we promise we will share her story.

This fund has been set up to provide financial help for Naomi, 6, and Harrison, 3, in their coming years. Funds will be kept safe and distributed for the kids as needed along their long road ahead.

We can’t comprehend the extent of the challenges yet, but we know they will need our support. We hope to at least lighten the financial burden that will no doubt add weight to already heavy hearts. Harrison has a compromised immune system and has costly bills associated with his medical specialists. Devin could keep track of everything he needed and did it without complaining, even if it meant extra work hours and long drives and overnights at Peoria Children’s Hospital. She would do anything for her kids, and we will do anything for her.

Devin - a mommy first. Her babies were her whole world. Her everything. She was the strongest fighter and advocate for them. She could set boundaries and stick to them, even if it meant being pulled back from people she loved. She vowed to provide them with a peaceful home full of love and strength. She knew her kids deserved the world, so she worked hard and remained dedicated to giving them exactly that every day. We are in disbelief her life was cut short but promise to provide for her kids the way she would have continued to do so no matter what.

Devin was so much to so many, and her love and loyalty ran deep. She was loved. So, so loved. She will always be loved. We will never forget her captivating eyes, bright smile, laugh, and authenticity.

We are so incredibly grateful for the love and support we have received. It truly carries us through the moments that feel the hardest. It is a testament to how many people Devin impacted with her bright, beautiful and brave life. We will always love and miss her every day and promise to share her story as soon as possible. On behalf of her entire family, we thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.
