Clinton (CJ) Bass is an incredibly happy, hard working and charismatic young man. A student at Texas State University studying Advertising, CJ is set to graduate in May after 6 years of working and putting himself through school. On Friday, March 30, 2017, CJ was out helping a friend in Canyon Lake, Texas and they were on a very dark road on their way home. His Jeep had both doors and the roof off when it was struck by an 18 wheeler going approximately 75 miles an hour. The Jeep flipped 6 times and landed in a ditch. Both were wearing their seatbelts and remarkably, CJs friend wasn't severely injured. CJ, however, was Life-Flighted to University Hospital in San Antonio and has suffered numerous major injuries, including 9 major breaks and a brain bleed. His Mother and Sister immediately went to San Antonio from their home in the Houston area but they are not in a financial situation to be off work for what is foreseen to be a very long time during CJs hospital stay. Any help that family, friends or compassionate strangers can offer will be greatly appreciated. All donations will be going to the Bass family to be used for the basic necessities (gas, food, hotel, hygiene). Additional monies will be used to support CJ until he is able to recover, contribute to his medical bills, prescriptions, and rehab. CJ turned 26 on January 2, 2017, and lost the health care insurance he had. Please, find it in your heart to donate whatever you can. This is an amazing young man, with a heart full of love and compassion, a smile for strangers and a laugh he spreads wherever he goes.
