For Cindy and Zuleya in Kaleb's Memory

Intro:

Hello everyone. My name is Ruby and I’m reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers because we would greatly appreciate your help.

Their story:

In May 2024, my brother Kaleb was diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 cancer. Rhabdomyosarcoma to be exact. The tumors were found behind his right eye and in his lymph nodes originally. Despite the odds of only a 20% survival rate, he began his 43-week chemotherapy and radiation treatments in hopes of believing in the Lord's plan.

After ringing the bell to complete radiation in September 2024, he continued his chemotherapy treatments until October 2024 when a routine scan came out to be not so routine. The cancer had moved. Results stated that it was no longer where it was originally but now in his neck, spine, and surrounding the brain. Ultimately, that was it; because of the very specific and sensitive areas it was at, there were very few answers and options.

The cancer took its toll, making it difficult for him to speak, walk, and function, but he periodically joked around to keep us on our toes and speak to his little cutie (Zuleya). Kaleb was strong, kept the faith and fought hard every day until he went to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2024.

Their why:

Before everything got this serious, Kaleb expressed his biggest concern and fear. Kaleb's wish is for his family to be taken care of. His wife, Cindy, and their 3-year-old little girl, Zuleya, have always been his world. Being a young father and hardworking husband, he just wanted to know that they were going to be okay.

I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help Cindy and Zuleya. They are going to need help covering funeral expenses, keeping their home, and navigating whatever is next.

Hola a todos. Mi nombre es Ruby y me dirijo a mis amigos, familiares y desconocidos de buen corazón porque agradeceríamos enormemente su ayuda.

Su historia:

En mayo de 2024, a mi hermano Kaleb le diagnosticaron un cáncer agresivo en etapa 4. Rabdomiosarcoma, para ser exactos. Los tumores se encontraron detrás de su ojo derecho y en sus ganglios linfáticos originalmente. A pesar de las probabilidades de una tasa de supervivencia de solo el 20 %, comenzó sus tratamientos de quimioterapia y radiación de 43 semanas con la esperanza de creer en el plan del Señor.

Después de tocar la campana para completar la radiación en septiembre de 2024, continuó con sus tratamientos de quimioterapia hasta octubre de 2024, cuando un análisis de rutina resultó no ser tan rutinario. El cáncer se había movido. Los resultados indicaron que ya no estaba donde estaba originalmente, sino que ahora estaba en su cuello, columna y alrededor del cerebro. En última instancia, eso fue todo; debido a las áreas muy específicas y sensibles en las que estaba, había muy pocas respuestas y opciones.

El cáncer le pasó factura, ya que le dificultaba hablar, caminar y funcionar, pero bromeaba periódicamente para mantenernos alerta y hablar con su niña, Zuleya. Kaleb era fuerte, mantuvo la fe y luchó duro todos los días hasta que se fue a estar con el Señor el 1 de diciembre de 2024.

Su motivo:

Antes de que todo se volviera tan serio, Kaleb expresó su mayor preocupación y temor. El deseo de Kaleb es que su familia esté bien cuidada. Su esposa, Cindy, y su pequeña hija de 3 años, Zuleya, siempre han sido su mundo. Como padre y esposo joven, solo quería saber que iban a estar bien.

He creado este GoFundMe para ayudar a Cindy y Zuleya. Necesitarán ayuda para cubrir los gastos del funeral, mantener su hogar y afrontar lo que sea que venga después.
