It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share the passing of our beloved baby sister, Chloe.
On February 1st, Chloe
was involved in a devastating car accident that left her with catastrophic injuries. She suffered severe trauma, including critical damage to the blood vessels supplying her intestines, extensive brain swelling and bleeding, fractures to her neck and spine, a broken leg, rib fractures, and damage to two major arteries leading to her brain.
She remained in the Trauma ICU for two weeks while our family stayed by her side, holding onto hope and praying for a miracle. Despite every effort, her scans ultimately showed no blood flow to her brain. On February 13th at 9:58pm, she was declared brain dead. On February 14th, surrounded by love, we were able to stay with her as she was taken off the ventilator and her heart gently came to rest.
The shock of losing her so suddenly is something we are still struggling to comprehend. There are no words that can truly capture the depth of our grief.
If you knew Chloe, you knew light. She was bright, bubbly, and effortlessly caring, the kind of person who showed up for everyone without hesitation. She had a laugh that filled a room and a presence you felt the moment she walked in. To know her was to love her. Her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
She leaves behind her two beloved dogs, Suki and Bumi, her two sisters, her life partner, and our parents, all of whom are devastated by this loss.
As we navigate the trauma of losing her, we are also facing overwhelming medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and the financial responsibilities she shared in her home with her life partner and her dogs. These funds will go toward medical bills, funeral costs, Chloe’s ongoing expenses, and helping our family find stability during this incredibly painful time.
