Charles Denton is a father, a husband and the greatest role model a son could have hope for. On July 4th, 2019 my father had a stroke that damaged the entire left side of his body. He now can’t move his left arm, his left leg, much less walk around anymore.
The CT came in later that week which revealed the extend of his brain damage. The doctors said that they do not know how it will affect my dads mental health in the long run but that the damage is very extensive.
Who would have known that my Dad who spent most of his time at the golf course or working on new projects or reading his old engineering books would now be depending on my mom to be fed, bathed, clothed and moved around the house all day long since both my brother and I live in Texas and they are retired in the Dominican Republic. It’s a tough situation, not being there for your parents when they absolutely need you the most.
This is the main reason why my family is putting together this fundraiser. We want to bring our parents to Texas so that he can be better cared for. As a retired army veteran, he will have access to far more medical assistance then he could ever get anywhere else but unfortunately we as a family cannot do that on our own. The current bills we have to pay are way out of our means on top of moving to them to Texas and taken care of all debts as well getting a bigger place for us to live together once again.
We are seeking for your help to cover the following expenses:
- Hospital Bill
- Medicine Cost
- Physical Therapy
- Moving from Dominican Republic to Texas
With your help we can soon bring both Mom and Dad to Texas so Dad can start physical therapy and God willing be on the golf course once again.
