It is with a heavy heart that we share that our beloved Cecile Tiamzon passed away on February 2nd, 2017. She leaves behind family and friends who loved her dearly.
As we all remember Cecile, she was the most loving and selfless person. She had a big heart who always put people she loved before herself. She graduated in nursing school and became a nurse in 2002. She later became a dialysis tech in 2011. Her generous heart continued to strive to make others’ lives better. To many of us, she was the light to our darkness. She was an amazing person who always led a positive life despite any challenges thrown at her. Cecile was known for her unbelievable strength as she battled cancer for almost 9 years. She was truly a warrior. She forever lives on in our memories and hearts.
Cecile was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2008. She went through a mastectomy, radiation, and chemotherapy. She experienced nausea, fatigue and constant hot flashes. She was then in remission, but the cancer unfortunately came back as stage 4 in 2014. She fought it again with chemo. In 2016, it had metastasized to her liver and bones. Once again, she fought it with treatments. In December 2016, the cancer spread to her brain which led her to experience memory lapses. A couple of weeks later she went through radiation again. Cecile fought this long and hard battle until her last breath.
