Dear Friends,
It is with the heaviest of hearts and profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear brother Cavin Yoo on January 14, 2022. A beautiful soul has left us far too abruptly, and we are all shattered by his loss.
Cavin touched the hearts of everyone he came across. Beneath that sometimes gruff exterior, we all knew there was a heart of pure gold. He was sweet, loving, caring, and genuine. No one embodied loyalty more than Cavin. He was always there for all of us. Convenience, cost, and sometimes even the prospect of bodily injury; none of those things mattered to him in the slightest when we needed him. The same friendships he forged since kindergarten have continued unbroken to this day. And those of us without siblings never knew what it was like to not have a brother, because Cavin was always there to fill that role.
As we all know, family was everything to Cavin - The most fundamental, sacred, inviolable thing in the whole world. Of the few fears he had in life, the greatest by far was not being there for his mother and leaving her alone in this world. He loved her more than anything. Everything. And death cheated by taking him in his sleep, because he would never have let it take him from his mother’s side otherwise.
If there was ever a proper way to honor Cavin’s memory, it would be all of us making sure his mother is cared for. It would be the only thing he would ask of us if he still could.
All amounts raised will go towards funeral arrangements and related expenses. The rest will go to Cavin’s mother to support her during this difficult transition. Anyone wishing to avoid GoFundMe and give directly or in person, please contact us for further info. All pertinent information relating to the funeral will be posted here as soon as we have it. Thank you.
