Hello, my name is Aldania, and I am raising funds for my friend Cassie Schnelle and her family.

Cassie's dear son Colby Hockersmith, lost the battle to cancer and passed peacefully on Monday, December 5th, at midnight. He was 33 and left behind his beautiful and loving wife, Jess, and their 3-year-old son Kaden (pictured above). Colby was first diagnosed in 2019, right after he and Jess had Kaden, who was only four months old. He fought hard to experience as much of life as he could over the past four years with his wife and son.

Cassie and her kids are part of my extended family. I babysat them for days on end, and they would even playfully call me "Momma". As a mother, I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing a child; they're not supposed to go before you.

At this time, the best way we can help, what is needed most, is financial assistance. Please donate to help Cassie and the family (they are ten total). They have been traveling to/from Denver, Colorado, where Colby lived, and costs can quickly add up when you have that many people traveling on short notice, especially to Denver, where it's ski season and lodging, food, and everything is expensive. Anything to make it easier on Cassie and her family.
