For Carrie

This is for our  girl that we can't live without. She has been our hero our rock and now it's time for all of us to step up for her.This is my sister, Carrie. Beautiful, caring, loving, and vibrant. Also, 41 years young and battling stage 4 gastric carcinoma. This past Thanksgiving she went to the hospital with a 'belly ache'. Further tests revealed that she was in trouble - peritoneal cancer. More tests revealed, stomach and small intestinal cancer. Her employer has supported her throughout 2019, but today her insurance coverage has ended. This morning her doctors told me that the hospital can't provide any additional care that couldn't be done at home. Tomorrow she will be discharged. In september she chose to become a traveling mammographer. Her contract ended and she has no home to go to. Remember that part when I said that she was loving and vibrant? She made an impact on a lot of people, but a fellow traveling tech loved her so that she (Beverly) extended her contract (and her husband, Tim's) to stay here in Modesto to ensure that her care isn't disrupted. As of 12/29 her hospital bill has reached $425,000. This will hopefully be covered by insurance and California's Medicaid. Until her mediCAL is approved EVERYTHING is out of pocket. Medications, hospital bed, home care, etc. With that said, we are asking for help to cover the next week. We have no definitive goal in mind - just coverage until we can get everything approved. I know her and she'd hate the idea of making a charity page, but there's a time that we must all swallow our pride. This is her time. If you are able, anything helps.
