Hi All,

On Sunday 10/24, they will disconnect Calvin from the machine that is keeping him alive. We were blessed with another 3 days with him as they were going to disconnect him on Wednesday 10/20. We were blessed since his beautiful soul is the only person within miles that is able to donate his organs to help others continue living.  There are 170,000+ people right now waiting on organ transplants. We Are going to lose one of the purest kindest souls we have known so that others can start living their lives. We are sure he is happy knowing that he will be able to help others. Saturday we are having a hospital walkthrough where all family and nurses will cheer him on as they stroll him down the hallway for the blessings he’s giving other families by being able to donate his organs. This is such a tragic event overall. He was getting ready to go to lunch with his longtime girlfriend when he had an asthma attack. He past out in the restroom and his body blocked the door. The paramedics had to knock down the door where they found him without a pulse but they were able to get a steady pulse after 31 minutes. They gave him 72 to show signs of response or reaction before they pronounced him brain dead, unfortunately the 72 hour mark passed on Tuesday. It’s been a nightmare for his family and especially his girlfriend who he spent 24/7 with him. Calvin actually blessed us with another surprise! On Wednesday they let us know that the priest approved to get his sperm preserved!! It is quite an expensive procedure but we are happy that we will have a baby Calvin soon in our future. His girlfriend and him were planning to start their journey to becoming a family before this tragedy occurred. We are asking for donations to help with hospital, funeral or sperm preservation procedure. Calvin deserves this, his organs are going to help so many lives!
