Friends, family, and kind-hearted people,

It is with unbearable pain that we share the heartbreaking news that our dearest mother, Lena, has tragically passed away.

She died while rescuing a child from the water. Until her very last moment, her heart was filled with love, courage, and a willingness to help others. By giving her own life, she gave a child a chance to live.

Today our family is going through the hardest time of our lives. We need to bring our mother’s body from the Netherlands to Rivne, so she can be laid to rest in her homeland, surrounded by her family and loved ones. The costs of transportation and funeral arrangements are extremely high for our family, and therefore we are forced to ask for help.
