Hey everyone. It’s so hard for me us to have to do this. As you all know, in October of 2022, Brittany was in the hospital For over a month due to having a Pulmonary Embolism, Cardio Myopathy, a Massive Stoke which from what we have been told, it’s a miracle she was able to walk again, she was septic, and also on a ventilator for 6 days. They told us if she wouldn’t have come when she did, she would have died within 48 hours. She has been hospitalized so many times since then it’s unreal. The reason I am coming to you all for help is because recently she was let go from our job for medical reasons because of her having to miss so many days and with me missing work and having to stay home with her as well because it’s just the two of us, I cannot just leave Britt by herself because most of the time it’s so hard for her to walk from being so weak and she could fall and have no way to contact anyone for help, her heart rate was dropping so low she almost passes out and now its spiking to the 150’s it’s so scary for her and I would never forgive myself if something happened while I am not home with her. We are currently in Chippenham Hospital in Richmond because this past Friday, she had two seizures within minutes of each other and her BP was spiking so high we almost couldn’t get it down and then Saturday throughout the morning, it kept spiking again and her oxygen was dropping, I had to leave work and bring her straight here. Once we were here, her heart rate was rising to the 150s randomly and fast , then her oxygen would drop to 85-86 so they had to put her on oxygen just so she is able to breathe normally. Of her heart is severely enlarged. One of the serious issues we are having now is when they did a CT scan of her brain they found that because the right side of her brain is all dead tissue which we knew but I’m not sure how to say the exact term, but there is something with the tissue that apparently happens not always, but does happen where it can start to cause the person to have seizures and that’s what’s happening with Brittany. She does have a Pituitary mass as well on her brain but that is not what’s causing the seizures. She had another one yesterday evening before they brought her up to the neurological unit and so they were able to do an MRI last night to see how serious it is and what the treatment is going to be. She is scared right now because she’s 32 years old and scared that her body is just shutting down slowly and all she wants to do with have normal life. All of you know Brittany, and you know she is the most fun, carefree person and she’s not able to live that life anymore. They are also checking her for blood clots because her arm started swelling this morning and that’s how it started last time. They’re not sure if that’s the case but they are double checking because of her extensive medical history. She now has lung disease and heart disease, a lot of residual side effects from her stroke still. They were able to close the hole in her heart last year, but with the severe chest pain that she has been having lately is what’s causing the cardiologist to run more tests. It should’ve helped but obviously something is still going on behind that. We are currently waiting to get into a hematologist as well as finding a new lung doctor that is closer to where we are living because the one that she currently sees is just too far and you can never get into with an appointment and when you do, it’s six months and the problems that she’s having needs to be seen Soon not by the end of summer. So finding care for her is becoming a serious issue. Now that I’ve explained everything that’s been going on medically with her, thats the reason that I’m asking for help. I haven’t told many but We are in the process of losing our home. We both have worked so hard until she wasn’t able, to get our home for us, our children, our family, and with Brittany being let go from work, we are about to lose everything and I have exhausted all of our options. She also has currently lost her insurance and we are about to have a lot of medical bills come in as well. We haven’t really been able to keep food in the house either because we haven’t been able to qualify for any benefits because of how much we both were working. Our church has also has offered to help with what they are able to but unfortunately things have gotten to backed up for me to catch up alone. I know the world is struggling right now, but I’m asking you guys from the bottom of our hearts if Anyone can spare anything to help us keep our home and it would be greatly appreciated more than you could ever possibly know. They have already started the process in court and we have court next Wednesday morning at 9 AM and we are terrified because we really tried to do everything we can but I just can’t get caught up and get all of the funds together. I have some but with the back rent and rent for may being $3000, it just won’t be enough to cover it all. if I could get caught up and get back to work it would be OK but right now I have to be by her side until she is able to completely be alone again. but i’m doing everything I can not to lose our home so she has somewhere to be comfortable while we are trying to get her plan of care into place.
