As someone who finds it hard to ask for help, this isn’t easy—but this ask isn’t for me. It’s for someone who’s carried more than their share.
Brad is a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces who has spent years battling PTSD and other serious mental health challenges—many of which went undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for far too long. Despite everything, he worked hard and held onto stability until late 2024, when everything began to unravel.
In December 2024, Brad lost his home—wrongfully. The matter is now before the courts as he fights to reclaim the equity he earned. In the meantime, everything he owned was placed into storage by the government. That storage unit is now at risk of being auctioned off.
We’re raising funds to:
• Retrieve his belongings from storage before they’re lost for good
• Cover U-Haul and seacan rental costs to safely store the items
• Allow Brad to slowly sell his possessions as a way to stay afloat while the legal process continues
Brad now lives with me, and I’m doing everything I can to support him—but this part is bigger than what I can carry alone.
If you’re able to help—even just a little—it could make all the difference. Your support would give Brad time, dignity, and a small sense of control as he tries to rebuild.
Thank you for taking a moment to read, to care, and if you can, to share.
