For Bobby & April's Kids

Donation protected
My name is Darin Prazer which many people will remember me as Darin Orr.  I have started this fundraiser in Honor of Robert "Bobby" Donoval as a way to try and help with his Legacy.  For those who do not know, Bobby was a great friend to many, many people and an amazing father of 5 wonderful kids, which are his Legacy.

Bobby & April have 5 children together, before separating mutually about 10 years ago.  They have worked in harmony with each other for the benefit of their children and stayed friends until he passed.  For those who do not know, their children are Dylan 19, Devan 16, Kaleigh 16, Jayden 16 and Breauna 13.  This is definitely hard on the kids because they also lost their Grandma, Bobby & Stevie's Mom, Ann Donoval, in May of this same year!

April is taking care of Bobby's final expenses, arrangements, estate, legal aspects, their children, etc.  My goal in setting this up is to help raise funds to add to the little bit of life insurance he had to help with legal & final expenses, fixing & paying off Bobby's current home, and have the remainder go to the kids future either for education funding, to go towards buying their 1st home or towards a business if they are inclined to do that.  April will be setting up Trusts for each child and will apply the funds to them evenly after all the other expenses are taken care of.

I am putting a smaller goal to begin with this GoFundMe account as it asks for one, but ideally, I'd like to see that we can raise around $100k so that there could be about $20K each for all 5 kids.

Bobby was a fun-loving, happy guy who smiled often!  His nickname in High School, due to his lack of jumping ability in volleyball, was Bobby “No-Ups” Donoval.  However, he could help set the ball for the spikers! He was a bulldog and had a bit of a Napoleonic complex, as he is a short guy like me.  Bobby did mellow on that front after some time though.  For many people, they know Bobby as the "Cell Phone Guy" as he has been in the cell phone business since right after high school.

Bobby had many, many friends who had a lot of fun playing Jump 21, shooting things with pellet guns (including things we really shouldn’t have), playing video games at the arcades, like at the mall or Sack & Save, at home, and playing inappropriately with fireworks and much more.  Some of these things we of course regret doing.  One thing that stood out was that Bobby always loved his friends and his kids!  He would defend any of his family or friends when he saw them getting hurt or about to get hurt.

On a personal note, Bobby was my Best Man at our wedding and we were very close for many years.  I was lucky enough to spend some time with Bobby, Ed and Dylan (his oldest child) last year when visiting for my Mom’s heart surgery.  It was great to catch up with Ed & Bobby, some really great guys.  I also got to know Dylan more.  It was great to see how mature this young man is for his age and this dinner allowed for Dylan to get to know his Dad more through our stories, half of which Dylan hadn’t heard.

April was a part of many of our group’s memories too but of course, Bobby was much closer to her before I even knew him and of course his brother, affectionately known as Stevie to us.  I regret not keeping in more contact with Bobby and the other friends in our group over the last many years, or Bobby’s children to show them how much Bobby impacted me.

I know there are many friends that want to share their stories and experiences with Bobby for his kids and I will be helping April by setting up a site soon where many people can upload their written or videoed stories so that they can access these memories.  I will notify When, Where & How on Bobby's FaceBook Account and with an update on this site too if possible.

These memories won't just be for his kids, it will also be a way for all of us to remember the awesome guy we knew.   As soon as I get it digitized, I will definitely post his Best Man Speech because he was so scared of doing it.  Everyone that knows Bobby would say that he wasn't a public speaker/presenter but he nailed his speech perfectly!

Bobby was and always will be a great friend, an awesome father, an overall amazing human being and will be greatly missed by April (mother of their children and life-long friend), Stevie (Bobby's only brother), his loving and awesome kids, and many, many other friends and family.

If you want to see it, here is Bobby's Obituary:  https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/pensacola-fl/robert-donoval-9917753

We all pray that Bobby’s family will process his loss in the best way possible and find peace and solace.
