Hi, I’m Jessica, and this is Bear — my whole world.

Bear is my 9-year-old French Bulldog that I rescued January 28 2019. He is my heart dog. He’s been by my side through everything — the quiet moments, the hardest nights, and the little joys that make life worth it. He’s not just a pet. He’s family. My shadow. My comfort. My everything.

Bear has been through more in his life than most dogs ever face — and I’ve done everything I can to get him the care he needs:

• In 2022, he had spinal surgery for IVDD

• That same year, he also had BOAS surgery to help him breathe easier

• He’s had three corneal debridements — two in one eye and one in the other

• He lives with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and needs daily medication and careful management

• And now… something has shown up in his brain

During a CT scan done for dental planning, the vet noticed something abnormal in Bear’s brain. His neurologist reviewed the images and is now recommending an MRI to help us understand what’s going on. It could be inflammation, brain disease, or possibly cancer. While Bear isn’t showing major symptoms right now, we want to catch this early if it’s something serious — before it progresses.

The MRI is estimated to cost $4,000–$5,000. Bear’s insurance has about $3,700 left on its annual cap (resetting December 29), but anything beyond that — and any follow-up treatment — will fall entirely on me. I’ve been handling all of Bear’s care on my own — physically, emotionally, and financially — and I’m truly at my limit.

That’s why I’m reaching out for help.
