Hi,

For those who don’t know me / us, we live just outside Javea in Spain, and I (Linda) work at a local shelter where I specialize in helping dogs with ptsd and trauma.

I have four dogs (Elfin, Molly, Franz and Otto) of my own, all rescues, with different tragic backgrounds but who now lives their best lives.

We’re helping the shelter with fostering dogs who for different reasons suffer a lot from being in the stressful environment that the shelter is. The reason for this Gofundme is to be able to continue doing this, as I pay for food and supplements myself for the fosters. I want them to get nothing but the best quality food in order to achieve a healthy diet and weight (same as mine, from Guau and cat). To cover a dog of ~ 20 kilos, with food and supplements costs are approximately €100 a month.

We have a new foster boy, Backy, coming on the 18th of May and he is the reason for the setup of this fundraising.

Money will go to what’s been mentioned above, and proof of purchase can be posted to anyone who wants to see.

* Backy is a 3 year old podenco who 

was surrendered to the shelter by his hunter. He’s extremely stressed, to the level that he’s self harming. Our hopes are that he will calm down from being in a home. Backy suffers from Distemper and will from today (26/5) be treated for his symptoms with antibiotics for a week, but the disease itself can’t be cured. Hopefully he won’t get more neurological damages than his eyes and vision being affected (and occasionally his balance) but unfortunately this will most likely affect his chances of being adopted.
