In Honour of Danielle, For Avery & Graham
Danielle Schmidt’s sudden passing on August 29th, 2021 is an enormous loss for her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the many people she knew and cared for – including her parents, sisters, cousins, aunts & uncles, friends, and…well…really anyone who was lucky enough to live in her community.
But, of course, Danielle’s most important legacy is her 2 beloved children: Avery and Graham. Danielle was a tireless and loving mother. She devoted herself completely to providing and caring for her kids. They were her top priority in life, and they will forever embody Danielle’s love, passion, loyalty, and determination.
Everyone who knew Danielle would agree nothing would make her happier than to know that Avery and Graham are cared for. Therefore, Danielle’s family is asking those who knew and loved her to honour her memory by supporting Avery and Graham. Any financial contribution you can make will go directly towards funds for the long-term wellbeing and education of Danielle’s cherished daughter and son.
This is a gut-wrenching time for anyone who knew Danielle. Her family truly appreciates the texts, e-mails, phone calls, and overall warm wishes from the many people Danielle touched. Let’s rally as a community and make Danielle proud by supporting Avery and Graham, a legacy that will ensure her spirit lives on.

We are truly blown away by the response so far. Danielle’s community has enthusiastically answered the call, and rallied in support of Avery and Graham. In the interest of transparency, Danielle’s family wanted to share some housekeeping details to make sure everyone feels comfortable about where their donations are going.
Who am I?
My name is Rich Stewart, and Danielle was my sister-in-law. My wife is Nicole Schmidt, Danielle’s sister.
How will the funds be used?
Danielle’s family plans to invest the funds raised in this campaign towards the long-term wellbeing and education of Avery and Graham. They will be setting up trust accounts, RESPs, and/or TFSAs for Avery and Graham to invest any funds which are raised through this campaign.
Where will the funds go in the short-term?
Danielle’s sister, Nicole Schmidt, has been set up as the trustee (noted below by GoFundMe as the "beneficiary") for this campaign. This means that funds raised in the short-term will be deposited to an account in Nicole’s name where they will sit while the family finalizes how exactly they want to invest the funds long-term for Avery and Graham (i.e. trust accounts, RESPs, TFSAs).
