Help with Costs following Loss of Anna

I'm starting this fundraiser to help my dear friend Carla Solberg Sherman as she faces the unimaginable, the unexpected death of a child. Carla's truly living every parent's worst nightmare.

Her eldest daughter, Anna, passed away unexpectedly in California. Anna was loved deeply - "a beautiful, smart, fun, quirky" daughter and friend - she was found deceased in her apartment. Carla & her family's grief is beyond imagination.

In the middle of heartbreak and shock, Carla had to get on a plane to travel to identify her daughter and start the painful process of understanding what happened.

The emotional and financial weight is enormous - airfare, transportation, potential funeral and burial costs - all while navigating unimaginable grief.

I've been a close friend and Como Park neighbor of Carla's for many years. Our kids are basically the same age, so the grass between our houses was well-worn as the kids ran back and forth in the early years playing with one another. During those hectic times, Carla, was what we often joked as my kids "other mother" in that she picked them up from school and activities when I couldn't, she fed them countless meals when I was running late, she was there for me and my family relentlessly as I now want to be there for her.
