Hi, my name is Mikal and I’m fundraising for myself and family. I’m self employed and have been for 5 years. Navigating a new business through 2020 was challenging but we made it. However, we just got hit with a sledgehammer. I got diagnosed with a brain tumor that is pressing up against my optic nerves and has caused me to lose a good portion of my eyesight. Due to this I am now disabled and unable to drive or work. I have started the process to secure government assistance and disability but am months away from receiving any. The surgery has a recovery time of 2 months but doctors do not know I will regain my vision. My family and I are asking for your help with medical bills and housing bills during these very difficult times.
