⠀⠀⠀I have been in contact with Ammar since Nov 2024. When we first began earnestly talking I was incredibly rude and untrusting. Despite my behavior, he remained kind and understanding. As we continued to keep in touch he would send me messages of appreciation, of checking up on me to make sure I was alright, as he had heard of conflict in the states. With everything that was/is going on with where he lives, he told me that he would not forget me. He has expressed concern that he is burdening me, multiple times.
⠀⠀⠀During the beginning of September, Ammar was struck by a missile. This severed his ureter, causing severe internal bleeding. By the grace of the care from those around him he has survived, and began to recover. As he was recovering I was relayed from his friend who was messaging me, that Ammar sends his greetings and not to worry, that he is stronger than this matter. During his recovery, as the third operation approached at the start of this October I had fallen silent in my communication. I felt at a loss of what to do and began to withdraw into myself. When I began messaging again he expressed relief, he was afraid something might had happened to me.
⠀⠀⠀He was a student, when the universities still stood. This fundraiser goes toward that hope, that my brother Ammar can find the means to live well and find a foothold to build off of. That he can support himself and his family & friends, that he doesn't have to worry as much for finances. For what Ammar has done for me, in touches of humanity that still yet find me, any and all raised here go entirely to him. Thank you deeply for anything you can donate, it means everything to me.
