On behalf of the Chinmaya Mission Center in Raleigh, I regret to share the unfortunate loss of our very Dear friend Ambika Persad, who passed away to Pancreatic Cancer on May 5, 2020.
One of the most loving & genuine souls you may ever meet, Ambika always had a cheerful disposition, a big hug and kind words for anyone she encountered. For over 8 years, members of the Chinmaya Mission had the pleasure of seeing Ambika every Sunday at Reedy Creek Middle School, where she worked as a Special Education Teacher during the week, & a Custodial Manager during weekends. Our arrival to Sunday school was always met with a happy & smiling Ambika greeting us in the entry hallway. She was a living example of what our Spiritual studies taught us: to serve selflessly with sincerity & kindness. Always seen as humble, hospitable and ready to offer a helping hand, Ambika made sure our spiritual group was well taken care of each week, and especially made our Hindu Festivals more special with her participation and contributions To the events . She made a profound impact on our Sunday school experience, as well as with the community. A dedicated teacher, A sincere employee, a devoted wife & mother, and a true loving spirit of life Ambika will truly be missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband Nolan, her daughter and her son.
In honor of her loving kindness & service to our community, A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family get through their loss & help them out during these troubled financial times.
