Alvaro is a kind, loving family man who has worked in construction for 30 years. He is a dear friend of my husband; they have worked together for the last 5 years.  Alvaro and his wife Gloria have three kids, the eldest just celebrated her quinceanera, and the youngest is only 1. 

10 days ago, Alvaro and Gloria took in their 17 year old niece who was displaced due to the pandemic. 4 days ago, she was tested positive for COVID; contracted from her workplace. 

The whole family went through testing, results came back negative. However, as his niece has nowhere else to go, the whole family must shelter in place with her to avoid community spread. 

As a result, Alvaro cannot work for at least 14 days. To make matters worse, Gloria got laid off from her job yesterday as a ESL teacher for the local public school. 

Alvaro and Gloria can really use some help as they manage household expenses, budget for possible medical bills in case anyone else gets sick. 

We'd like to raise some funds for the Serrano family during this unfortunate time, one with no real end in sight. $5, $10, $50; any amount will help.
