This is Abhi,

Lover, giver, laughter, brother, son, and friend. Amongst many other traits, Abhi had wholehearted compassion through which he touched the lives of many people. Spreading laughter like a wildfire, one of his talents that I, along with many others, shall miss.

He is no longer amongst us, a life cut so tragically short. Sadly, before the potential of a person like this could help better the world, one smile, one moment at a time. It's infuriatingly ironic how such a lover of life, could be so violently taken from his loved ones and friends.

For those of you who do not know, Abhi was in the passenger side of a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday, September 8th, in Surrey, when bad road and weather conditions led to a fatal motor vehicle accident. He was pronounced dead on the scene. I cannot fathom what my friend's final thoughts would've been, and yet all I've been thinking about was if he was afraid, if he was in pain, if he thought of any regrets...it hurts my heart and yet I cannot stop dwelling on these questions. But then I realized, how the details before the crash truly show the character of my friend Abhi. He works three jobs, and yet he chose to help a friend move to his new home instead of resting, he said to his friend, "it's okay, I start later, I can rest after I'm done helping you". He always thought of the welfare of others, above his own. Truly selfless. Although he passed on, he passed on staying true to his character.

We will now never know what could have been in Abhi's future. My heart goes out to his family, his loved ones, his friends and everyone he has touched with his brilliant soul. I wish I could, but I may not have the privilege to be able to sit down and laugh and cry with everyone who has ever held love for Abhi in their heart, but I am content in the knowledge that even if we never meet, we all share fond memories of Abhi, that even through these dark times, make us smile.

A personal message:

Abhi, I wish we were able to move to England and get a place close to each other there like we planned to. Get drunk and laugh and joke with each other like we planned to. I miss how we were so competitive with each other over absolutely everything, it pains me that we'll never share a moment together again my friend. But rest easy, knowing that even if our hearts are heavy and hurting right now, those memories of you are what will patch us up back together. So thank you for everything and know that I'll cherish the time we had.

I miss you.
