For Aaliah Hewett and in support of her boys

Aaliah Hewett - friend, wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin... passed away unexpectedly at the age of 38, due to complications from Covid 19 on Monday February 15th, 2021. She leaves behind 2 beautiful boys, Elijah and Ahmad and husband of almost 8 years but partner for so much more, Bucky Jones. Aaliah was a friend to all and an entire community now mourns the loss of this beautiful ray of sunshine. 

She was funny, and would tell the most hilarious stories of her boys to anyone and everyone that would listen. Elijah and Ahmad were everything to her and as much as their teenage antics drove her crazy, she also secretly adored everything they did or said. And as her friends and family can attest, we all loved hearing her re-tell those stories. 

She was kind, and easy to talk to and know. She made friends easily with anyone and everyone.

She was real. She would tell it like it was, always. There was nothing about her that you didn't immediately understand or ever question. She always spoke the truth and so you always knew exactly who she was and where she stood. I loved that about her.

Her sudden and unexpected passing has left a giant hole in so many hearts. But most especially, her immediate family Bucky, Elijah & Ahmad, her sister Winnie and her family, her brother Willie, and her parents, Deborah & William.  The sudden death of this young, vibrant, beautiful woman is a heart-breaking and devastating loss. But we can all help them, by relieving the financial burden during these difficult times. Please give what you can, big or small, to help ensure Ahmad & Elijah have the future their mother worked so hard to create for them. And for her family to help honor and celebrate her life.

Aaliah’s sister Winnie is the beneficiary of the funds raised and she will ensure all money is dispensed to Ahmad, Elijah and Bucky to help them through these tough times ahead.
