I have started this fundraising campaign on behalf of Ryan, a 18-year-old boy who is struggling to care for his younger brothers and sisters while surviving the devastating impact of war. Many nights they go to sleep hungry, with nothing to eat, and when they do manage to close their eyes, the constant sound of drones flying overhead keeps them awake in fear. At an age when Ryan should be focused on school and his future, he is instead carrying the heavy responsibility of finding food and medicine to keep his family alive.
