FOR A GOOD START IN HAITI
Donation protected
Hello dear friends!
I would like to start with this famous Haitian proverb :Little by little, a bird makes his nest. I recently completed my studies at Keystone College and from the start of these studies, I believed I would put my knowledge to the benefit of children in Haiti. Now comes the time for me to give back to my Haiti community, and so I will be returning to Haiti in November.
I am completing my work for Bethany Christian Services in the United States in their child preparation and Child Specific Recruitment programs. As Bethany Christian Services has a branch in Haiti, they will be transitioning me there in November where I will work as a Program Officer in three specific programs: Youth empowerment, Youth Resiliency, and Family Preservation. It is in providing these programs that I will make an impact on the children and families in Haiti, which has been my dream.
With that being said, I need your solidarity to help me raise $4000.00. A small portion will help me to rent an apartment in downtown Delmas, Haiti nearby my office for one year. This will allow easy access to the office since traveling from my hometown is quite complicated. Other monies will help me get started and sustain me as I navigate how to positively impact the children and families of Delmas.
Globally, I know we are all going through difficult and uncertain times, but please consider donating as a loving, caring gesture that will contribute not only to my professional career, but also to the lives of Haitian children and families whom I will be serving.
Think about this Haitian proverb when you donate: “Giving a little is not stingy”. Please contribute with what you can and what you have. Your participation will be greatly appreciated and will not be taken for granted.
Sincerely,
Williamson Jacques [Yaya]
