Toni is a dear friend of mine. She has always been a strong and independent person, and has fought many battles in her life. She is a Veteran (Army), and a cancer survivor. Her first bout with cancer was quite a victory for her, and she thought she had stood triumphant. Unfortunately, Toni's enemy has returned.

When she stepped away from the Armed Services, she began driving trucks. She was often on the road, and she was extremely active in her everyday life, enjoying activities like the Society of Creative Anachronisms and Live Action Role Playing in a medieval-style LARP.

Toni has not been able to work while battling cancer, which is now her full time job. Her son and his dad are holding things together for her on the home front, but Toni is now in the hospital and fighting hard.

Please donate to her GoFundMe. She has mounting expenses that will need to be paid, and she wants to make sure that things will be taken care of when the time comes. My wife and I have been saddened by her almost two year long battle, and we watch her work hard every day to do what she can...

It is now our time to help her fight. We all must come together as a community and try to help her be comfortable in the here and now at the closure of her fight against cancer. Update as of Nov 18,2021:

Toni is currently in the VA hospital receiving blood transfusions every couple of days to keep her fight alive. Her wish is to be able to afford to fix her leaking roof and raise enough funds for end-of-life expenses so that her family won't have so many worries. As always, she is thinking about others, even in this difficult time.

Happy Thanksgiving! 

Toni spent a quiet day with her family. Later in the evening hours,  her two youngest students of the sewing arts visited, and sat reading all the many, many messages across all social media that had been left for her. The recorded messages were particularly appreciated, as she made efforts to open her eyes to listen.

Update as of Friday, November 25th, 2021:

Antoinette Flammond drew her last breath on the dawn of Nov. 25th, surrounded by family.

She was sleeping peacefully and in no pain. 

We are grateful to everyone who reached out, as we feel in our hearts that the outpouring of love from the community allowed her to let go and move on.
