Help a Father Who’s Always Given His All

My father Rodolfo is 57 years old and, like many people his age in Mexico, he’s facing a difficult reality. Despite being incredibly hardworking and honest, he recently lost his job, and because of the job market for his age group, it has been almost impossible for him to find another one.

Even though he's unemployed he is now very close to retirement. However, the way the system works in Mexico is that they calculate pension amount on the last five years of income. This means that if he takes a job at a much lower wage than his previous wage his pension will be calculated at an unlivable rate.
In order to qualify for a fair pension, he can no longer work, because doing so would drastically reduce the amount he’ll receive.
At the same time, the government still requires him to continue paying contributions, even though he’s not allowed to work to earn that money.

This means he’s caught in a painful contradiction: he can’t work, but he must pay.

Still, my dad refuses to give up. To stay afloat, he’s been working as a private driver, doing what he can to keep supporting my mom, my sister, and our little dog, Nutella. But the income from that job isn’t enough to cover both his family’s needs and the mandatory government contributions that will secure his retirement.

My dad has always been a kind, humble man who helps others without asking for anything in return. He’s the kind of person who gives everything he has, time, love, and patience to those around him.

Our goal is to raise $135,000 US, which will allow him to:

- Continue making his government contributions until his retirement is secured.
- Stay afloat financially during this transition period, without having to sacrifice his ability to maintain a home and feed his family.

My dad has never been one to ask for help, but I want to show him that the world can be kind, that people can come together to help someone who’s spent his whole life giving.

Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign, means more than you can imagine. Thank you for reading, and for believing in compassion.
